Problem using stringOf(integer)

I am trying to use setCell to input data into an Excel worksheet.  The problem I'm having is that I want to add an integer to the sheet, but setCell requires a string for the last value.  So I tried to set up a dummy string variable called numPrint to hold the string version of the integer.  However, I keep receiving an error when I try to use the stringOf function using the integer value.  How do I change an integer to a string so that I can use it in the setCell function?

Here's the code I'm using (numAlloc is an integer value):

numPrint = stringOf(numAlloc);

the usual way to convert in integer to a string is

int i = 3
string s = i ""

hope this helps here as well
